The initiative connects these travelers with donors and philanthropic organizations, operating at the intersection of travel logistics, philanthropic funding, and operational accountability. Its purpose is to address a critical gap where traditional travel agencies and grant-based programs often fall short.
Most organizations manage either funding or travel coordination. Odyssey by Paperwings exists to manage the space in between. We are building a model that provides end-to-end operational support for donor-funded travel, including traveler vetting, donor engagement, travel planning and logistics, risk management, and post-travel impact reporting—ensuring transformational journeys are executed responsibly, transparently, and sustainably.

This is one of the reasons you hired us - so we can worry about these things for you! We are constantly working quietly in the background; communicating with global and on-the-ground partners - anticipating challenges and planning for them ahead of time - ensuring we have at least two backup plans. With that said, we understand the nuances of travel well enough to know that the unexpected can still happen, no matter how well you plan or anticipate. Someone on our team is available to provide support 24/7 - from the moment you leave your doorstep through your safe return home.

While we specialize in complex itineraries- including domestic and international multi-city/multi-country journeys - especially as it pertains to luxury leisure, group, and corporate travel, though our services expand well beyond these types of travel.

The sooner the better, when possible, but it really depends on the complexities and goals of your travel. We have clients who reach out a year or more in advance, and others who need to travel next week.
For international travel, we recommend contacting us at least 6 - 8 months prior to your planned departure date so we can best leverage our access and partnerships on your behalf.
Generally, less advance notice is necessary for domestic travel.
A good rule of thumb: reach out to us when that first travel seed is planted - we’ll guide you from there.

The range depends on factors like the complexity of the itinerary, the number of destinations, the level of planning involved, and the time required to bring it all together. Because each trip is different, it’s best to reach out to us and share a bit about what you’re envisioning so we can follow up with a thoughtful estimate of service fees tailored to your journey.
